Botox Helps Woman Speak for the First Time in 14 years

By admin | November 6, 2007

I love to wake up to a good story and how can you not feel good after hearing about this story. Imagine not being able to speak to your husband for 14 years and not being able to speak to your grandchildren for their entire lives.

That’s what happened to 73 year old Phyllis Yates. After a recent diagnosis which concluded that Ms. Yates was afflicted with laryngeal dystonia, doctors decided to perform a series of botox injections directly into the vocal cords. Miraculously, Ms. Yates regained her full speech after only 3 injections.

Ms. Yates’ granddaughters had this to say, “It’s lovely to hear you nan.”

What a story!
